A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

This competition is a free, skill-based literary contest intended for entertainment purposes only.

By participating in this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of Alaska Literary Adventures, LLC™, which are final and binding.

 

1. SPONSOR

2. ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open only to:

  • legal residents of the United States

  • who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry

Participants under eighteen (18) years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Void where prohibited by law.

Employees, contractors, immediate family members, or household members of Alaska Literary Adventures™, affiliated sponsors, or promotional partners may be restricted from participation or prize eligibility.

 

3. COMPETITION DESCRIPTION

This is a free, skill-based literary competition involving:

  • reading comprehension

  • puzzle solving

  • clue interpretation

  • deductive reasoning

  • research

  • critical thinking

Participants will solve clues embedded within:

  • a designated book

  • online portals

  • digital evidence

  • livestreams

  • social media clues

  • emails

  • interactive website content

The competition is designed to reward skill and analytical ability, not random chance.

 

4. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

No purchase is necessary to participate or win.

Alternative methods of entry or clue access may be provided where legally required.

Purchasing merchandise, the physical book, or any product does not increase odds of winning. Purchase is not required to participate or win. Free digital access is available through Kindle. The physical book is collectable, immersive, easier to annotate, and a convenience, but not necessary for winning.

 

5. COMPETITION PERIOD

The competition begins and ends on the dates published at:

The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the competition if necessary due to technical issues, fraud, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

 

6. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Participants may:

  • sign up online

  • access clues on launch date

  • solve puzzles

  • unlock digital content

  • submit answers

Certain clues may require interpretation of material connected to the featured literary work.

Internet access is required.

Participants are solely responsible for:

  • internet connectivity

  • devices

  • personal expenses

  • personal skill during participation

 

7. WINNER DETERMINATION

The winner will be the first eligible participant who:

  • correctly solves all required clues

  • satisfies all verification requirements

  • complies with these Official Rules

  • submits the correct final solution through authorized competition channels

In the event of a tie:

  • timestamp records

  • accuracy

  • completeness

  • rule compliance

may be used to determine the winner.

Sponsor decisions are final.

 

8. PRIZES

Prize descriptions, values, and details will be published at:

Prizes are non-transferable unless otherwise stated by Sponsor.

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes, reporting requirements, fees, and expenses unless otherwise specified.

 

9. CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants may not:

  • cheat

  • hack

  • manipulate systems

  • impersonate others

  • harass participants

  • trespass

  • damage property

  • violate laws

  • interfere with gameplay

  • use automated systems or bots

Any participant violating these rules may be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

 

10. SAFETY

These are online games, however if a participant should go to a location suggested in a book they should understand the laws. Participants are responsible for their own safety at all times.

This hunt is 100% online. No clue, instruction, or activity should be interpreted as encouragement to:

  • trespass

  • enter dangerous locations

  • violate laws

  • ignore weather conditions

  • disturb wildlife

  • access restricted property

Participants must obey all local, state, and federal laws.

Sponsor is not responsible for injuries, accidents, losses, or damages resulting from participation.

 

11. PUBLICITY RELEASE

By accepting a prize, participants grant Sponsor permission to use:

  • name

  • likeness

  • hometown

  • photographs

  • gameplay experiences

for promotional purposes without additional compensation where permitted by law.

 

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating, entrants release and hold harmless:

  • Alaska Literary Adventures, LLC™

  • affiliated sponsors

  • employees

  • contractors

  • partners

from claims arising from participation in the competition or acceptance/use of any prize.

Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • technical failures

  • website outages

  • internet interruptions

  • unauthorized access

  • lost submissions

  • corrupted data

  • delayed communications

 

13. DISPUTES

This competition shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State designated by Sponsor.

Participants agree that disputes shall be resolved individually and not as part of a class action.

Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any participant who intentionally damages or disrupts the competition.

15. SPONSOR RIGHTS

Sponsor reserves the right to:

  • modify gameplay

  • update clues

  • disqualify participants

  • verify eligibility

  • suspend accounts

  • alter timelines

  • cancel or revise the competition

when necessary for fairness, safety, legal compliance, or operational integrity.

 

16. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By entering, participants acknowledge that they:

  • have read these Official Rules

  • understand these Official Rules

  • agree to these Official Rules

  • agree to all Sponsor decisions

which are final and binding in all matters related to the competition.
